Current Sermon Series
Law & Order: Life Lessons from Deuteronomy Join us November 21 as we proceed to Deuteronomy 28-30 and the topic "Choose Life!". These chapters outline in great detail the blessings that are attached to covenant faithfulness and the curses that accompany disobedience and rebellion. By his grace and initiative, God calls a people to himself. Then, we get to choose how we will live in relationship with him. God allows us the freedom to choose life (obedience) or choose death (disobedience), and he urges us to choose life.
On November 28 we will cover Deuteronomy 31-32. "Good Grief". Chapter 31 and the song of Moses anticipate repeated failures on the part of Israel. They will experience great hardship when they violate their covenant with God, but failure never has the last word for God's people. He will reclaim and renew them, and he always has a hopeful future prepared for them.
Then we will conclude the series on December 12 with Deuteronomy 34 "Do the Deu". This lesson will recap some of the major themes of Deuteronomy. |
